Locksmiths Lit Up – Episode 9

Happy new year! We hope you are all looking forward to 2020 and keen to meet more of the Wynns Locksmiths team this year. Let’s bring in the new year with the Wynns Locksmiths Horsham Branch Manager – Tim. This is Tim’s 20th year in the locksmith industry so let’s help him celebrate his double decade by getting to know him a bit more. We are excited to have Tim (and his passion for locksmithing) part of the Wynns Locksmiths family.

Why did you become a locksmith?

I joined our family business Batch’s Locksmiths and begun my apprenticeship in December 1999. My Father Phil started locksmithing in 1982 and it has always been an interest and passion of mine.

In September 2019 we merged with Wynns Locksmiths which has allowed expansion in my knowledge as a locksmith and furthering my passion for learning.

What do you enjoy most about being a locksmith?

I enjoy being able to offer the best available products and advice to our customers and helping them secure what matters the most to them. I like being able to come up with solutions to their security questions.

I also love that I am 20 years in the industry this year and everyday learning something new!

What excites you about the locksmith industry?

As an industry we have evolved from the humble key cutter to now supplying and installing the latest electronic locking systems and camera systems.

While the mechanical lock will never be fully replaced the new age of electronics and learning how to streamline our everyday security life is what excites me!
